  • The AAC is a private clinic and centre of competence, providing high quality assessments and reports for neuro-developmental conditions, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. 

  • Assessments are conducted by one of our experienced team of clinicians who are qualified consultant psychiatrists or psychologists and every assessment outcome is reviewed and considered by a multidisciplinary team prior to preparation of a final assessment report.

  • AAC is located in central Hove with consulting rooms close to Church Road. Hove railway station is a 15 minute walk away. There are on street and multistorey parking only 2 minutes away and there are cafés and other amenities just outside.

    Appointments can also be arranged in London upon request

  • If you are accepted by us for assessment then our intention is to provide you with access to an assessment date as quickly as we can.

    To begin the application process, you must first register your details and complete the required screening questions. You can register here.

    Following completion of the screening process, if you are accepted for an assessment, you will be provided with a link to our online booking system which allows you to select a time and date for your assessment which suits you

  • Our Autism assessment process is tailored to your individual needs and situations, ensuring a personalised approach rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution.

  • Our ADHD assessment process is tailored to your individual needs and situations, ensuring a personalised approach rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution.

  • As part of our assessment process, it is helpful for us to obtain information from someone who knew you well during your developmental phases during childhood and teen years and would be willing to share information with us.

    However, we understand that not everyone will be able to nominate someone and if that happens, your case will be considered by our multi-disciplinary team and a decision made on whether we are able to proceed without the additional information

  • After your assessment your clinician will review the outcome with our multi-disciplinary team following which your assessment report will be prepared and a copy provided to you.

    Once you have received your assessment report you will be offered a follow up meeting with one of our team of clinicians, usually the clinician that carried out your assessment, to discuss the contents of your report and allow you the opportunity to have any questions answered.

  • Once you receive your assessment report you are free to share the report with anyone that you wish, including your GP.

    Should you wish us to provide a copy of your report to your GP then we are happy to do so. An administration fee of £125 will apply to this additional service.

    The AAC is an assessment service only and we do not currently offer prescription services or provide any post assessment care, treatment plans or any other post diagnosis care or support.

    The decision to prescribe medication is dependent on your individual circumstances, diagnosis and medical history and should be discussed with your GP.

  • The AAC does not currently prescribe medicines or other health care products or provide care or treatment plans or any other post diagnosis care or support.

    Should you wish to explore treatment following your assessment then you should contact your GP or other healthcare provider

  • The AAC currently only provides face to face assessments at our clinic address located in the UK.

    All registration documents and screening and assessment questionnaires are provided in English and all assessments are conducted in English only.

    If you are able to read and speak English and you can nominate an individual to provide further information in English then you will be able to apply for assessment even if you are not a UK resident.

  • If you wish to proceed with an assessment, your assessment fee must be paid in advance.

    The cost of your assessment includes new patient onboarding, initial screening, pre-assessment screening, face to face assessment appointment, multi-disciplinary team review, preparation of an assessment report and post assessment feedback meeting.

    Additional costs will apply to any additional services required.

    At this time we do not offer any discounts or payment plans.

  • The AAC provides assessment for ADHD and/or Autism only and this is reflected in our initial screening process.

    If you have applied and been accepted for an ADHD assessment then following your assessment you will receive a report which will either confirm a negative or positive diagnosis for ADHD.

    If you have applied for and been accepted for an Autism assessment then following your assessment you will receive a report which will either confirm a positive or negative diagnosis for Autism.

    Should you wish to explore other conditions or health concerns then you should seek the advice of your GP or other healthcare provider.

  • The AAC is an assessment service only and we do not currently offer prescription services or provide any post assessment care, treatment plans or any other post diagnosis care or support.

  • As part of our assessment process, you will be provided with a face-to-face assessment with an AAC clinician and following that assessment you will have the opportunity to attend a feedback session to discuss your assessment report and to have any questions you may have, answered.
